On-demand pulling of books (also known as "paging") is not available except for patrons with disabilities or injuries that prevent them from retrieving the books themselves. This policy is available at this link.

For patrons who live outside of Laramie, the best option is to use the Request It service to have the books pulled from the shelves. Telephone or email requests to pull books from the stacks are not allowed. Be aware that it may take 24 to 36 hours for the books to be pulled and available for pick-up.

This tutorial describes the Request It process, including setting up an account.

To use Request It, locate the desired book in the library catalog, then click on the blue "Request It" button located underneath the location/call number/status line of the catalog entry.

Unfortunately, non-UW/public patrons cannot use Request It. Telephone or email requests to pull books from the stacks and hold them at the desk are not allowed either. Patrons must pull the books from the stacks themselves, unless the disability or injury rule applies (as stated in the first paragraph).
