This library guide provides information on Library Users Rights and Responsibilities.

The current policy of the University Libraries is that food and beverages may NOT be brought into the "stacks" area of the library, that is, where the books are shelved. Other non-food areas are the Learning Resource Center at the College of Education and Coe Library’s Emmett Chisum Special Collections.

Food may be consumed in the computer lab areas of the University Libraries and the Book & Bean.

Library leadership and administrators ask that patrons consume food in a responsible manner and dispose of trash in the waste and recycling containers provided. Also, try to minimize distraction to other library users and ensure that no damage occurs to library materials or spaces.
