Thank you for asking this question. Putting the books that you don't want to check out in a specific location helps us to get them re-shelved in a prompt manner.

There are book carts located on each floor of Coe Library and the branch libraries where you may place books that you have looked at but do not want to check out. These carts all have a sign on them that reads something like "Place Books Here." Several times a day library employees pick up the books and put them in the queue for re-shelving.

You may also drop off books that you don't want to check out at the circulation desk at any of the library locations.
