Permission to set up a table in Coe Library must be obtained from Coe Library administration. The offices are on the fifth floor of Coe Library. Their phone number is 766-3279. You may also email Birgit Burke, the Coe Library executive staff assistant at

There are certain restrictions as to what organizations may set up tables in Coe. In general, RSOs are welcome to promote their organization and provide information provided that UW Regulation 2-178 is followed. Activities prohibited by this university regulation include:

  • Private, personal or commercial interest operated primarily for profit;
  • Sales, solicitation, advertising, and promotional activities;
  • Political campaigning by, or for, candidates who have filed for public office; and
  • Political campaigning for ballot measures
