The Oxford English Dictionary, or OED, is available online through the databases. Click on the "A-Z Databases" tab on the main UW Libraries webpage. Then on next webpage, click on "O" and scroll down to "Oxford English Dictionary (OED)."

The direct link to the OED is provided here.

Access is limited to UW students, faculty, and staff. If off-campus, authorized patrons will be prompted to sign on with their UW/WyoWeb username and password. Public / Non-UW patrons do not have access to this subscription, although the public terminals in the library will allow access.

An older print edition of the OED (20 volumes total) is available in the Folio section on Level 1 of Coe Library. The call number for the dictionary is PE1625 .O87 1989.
