Reference help is available in many ways at the UW Libraries.

Assistance with locating books, journals, articles, and media is available at the Help Desk any time that the library is open. During evening hours, more complex and difficult research/reference questions may need referred to librarians.

This link opens the "Ask a Librarian" widget to submit a question. Questions submitted during the business day are answered as soon as possible; those submitted after 5 p.m. and before 9 a.m. are answered the next regular business day.

Research help hours vary from semester to semester and month to month. This link is to the current library calendar.

This webpage lists all the research (liaison) librarians. For many of the librarians there is also a link to send an email and book an appointment.

After hours help is also available through Library Guides and FAQs.
