The reference collection at Coe Library has been greatly reduced. The reference material was located on Level 2 of Coe, but much of the collection was moved to the regular "stacks" of books. Most of these items were reclassified for normal circulation, but some remain "in library use only." Check the inside back cover of the book to see if those words appear. When in doubt, ask at the Help Desk whether an item may be checked out.

The remaining reference materials were relocated to Level 1. There is one long bookcase of reference materials. Maps are located in this area as well. These materials are for in library use only.

Much of the reference material has also been obtained in digital format and is available online through the UW Library catalog.

If you need assistance locating a reference book, please ask at the Help Desk on Level 2 (main level) of Coe Library.
