There are two databases that are great sources of articles from academic and popular publications. These are EBSCO's Academic Search Premiere (ASP) and ProQuest's ProQuest Central. Both are equally good and have similar user interfaces. A third database, Web of Science, is a good general database focused on the sciences.

All three of the databases can be easily accessed from the UW Libraries' "Databases" webpage. To access this page, click on the orange "Databases" button located in the white "FIND" band on the main library webpage. Located in the upper-right area of the "Databases" webpage is a box labeled "Popular Databases." Click on any of the links to get started searching.
