Unfortunately, ebooks are licensed by a contract for use by a publisher rather than purchased. As such, certain restrictions are included with that contract, which typically is that the ebook may only be used by currently-enrolled UW students, UW faculty, and UW staff. Thus, even though the ebook is listed in the Prospector catalog, it cannot be accessed or borrowed.

Check with the librarians where you normally borrow books. The book you wish to borrow may be available in print format or available digitally from another source within the Prospector Alliance or Swift system of Colorado libraries.
