The 3D printers are part of the Coe Student Innovation Center (CSIC). In addition to the 3D printers, there are electronics kits and other items. Any UW student, staff, or faculty member can use the center.

Many libraries across the country offer "maker spaces" and the CSIC is UW's maker space.

The CSIC is a cooperative project between the UW College of Education and UW Libraries. The center will continue to expand to include other equipment and materials for creativity and learning.
