The Non-Refundable Billing Fee of $5 per item is applied to a library bill for every long overdue, lost, or damaged book, video, etc. This fee is an incentive to borrowers to return library materials on time and it offsets the cost of staff time to bill for these items. As such this fee is approved by the Board of Trustees and listed in the University's Fee Book.

The best way to avoid being assessed Non-Refundable Billing Fees from the Libraries is to return or renew items before they go long overdue.
