Q. How do I access RefWorks---- and does the library have a license for Papers3 or Papersapp?

RefWorks

RefWorks is a citation management system that allows research information to be saved to a "cloud" account and organized in many different ways. This resource is available to currently enrolled UW students, faculty, and staff. A library guide explaining RefWorks is available at this link. To bypass the library guide, this link goes to the RefWorks website. Off-Campus? If prompted to access the website, sign on with your WyoWeb username and password.

To use RefWorks, you must set up an account; your UW network login will not work. Follow the "Create Account" link on the RefWorks page to set up your free account.

Using Legacy RefWorks? It's available until June 30, 2023. We encourage legacy users to upgrade to the newest version utilizing the upgrade link built into RefWorks.

Papers3 and Papersapp

UW does not have a site license for Papers, but we do offer several other reference management tools that provide the same function as Papers. You can find more information about each of the reference management tools we support on this page: http://uwyo.libguides.com/citationmanagement/home.

Our recommendation is Proquest RefWorks. It is the very similar to Papers. Is web-based and integrates into your web-browser similar to Papers, plus it has some add-on features that allows for integration into Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
