Q. What does "eResource" mean?

Folks that work in libraries tend to stick an "e-" in front of a regular term to indicate that it is electronic or available on the Internet. Consequently, eResource is the most generic term for digital or online content, including eJournals, eBooks, eTheses, etc.

Online content accessed through the UW network might appear to be free, however, the Libraries pay a large portion of its $9 million budget to make these eResources available. Because of this and other copyright and access issue, UW must restrict use to current UW students, faculty and staff.

Public patrons can access a limited number of eResources at the public computers located in the libraries. In addition, the Wyoming Library District offers online databases to patrons of public libraries in Wyoming.
