There are a few ways to access Spanish-language newspapers.
If you know the name of the newspaper, click on the "See All Research Tools" in the white "FIND" band on the UW Libraries main webpage. On the next webpage locate the "eJournals" button. When the search page appears, select "Title equals" in the filter box, then type title of the newspaper in the search box. Press "Enter" or the "Search" icon. Select one of the access options from the search results.
Another source of Spanish-language newspapers is at LANIC: Latin American Newspaper Information Center. Many titles from many countries are available.
You can use the ProQuest Central database to search for Spanish-language newspapers, journals, and articles. Click on the "Advanced Search" option, then scroll down the page and look for the "Language" box. Select "Spanish" as the language. You can also focus the search on newspapers by selecting "Newspapers" in the "Source type" box above the "Language" box.
Finally, this library guide for Spanish may be useful. There are some links to on-line Spanish-language news sources.
