The Libraries have many articles full text online, so Request It is usually not necessary. In fact, it is difficult to limit searches to print or non-UW journals only.

One trick is to sort your search results in a database such as PsycInfo so that the oldest articles are listed first (date ascending). Many older articles have been digitized, but you shouldn't have to go too far into your results before you find one that isn't online. Foreign journals (if you can read other languages or they are in English) and book chapters are also less likely to be online through our library.
