The most recent count is 3.950.383 volumes, which includes ebooks. In addition there are subscriptions to 163,861 journals (print and digital). The library subscribes to 1,724 databases. These databases provide access to current and historic journal articles, data sets, and digital media sources (audio and video). The UW Libraries are also an official repository of government documents, which at last count was 1,501,013.

The library can seat 1,600 users in study spaces, rooms, and computer labs. There are 152 computer workstations located in the library for patrons.
