Access to the digital holdings of HathiTrust depends on your status at the University of Wyoming. While anyone in the world can search the holdings, only authorized users or member libraries are able to download the content in its entirety that is in the public domain. This is due to the agreement that member libraries signed with Google, the company that digitized the content. People who are not affiliated with a member library can still search and can even download public domain content, but only one page at a time.

This link is to the HathiTrust database through the UW Libraries. UW users must enter their username and password when prompted in order to gain access.

This link is to a Help page on the HathiTrust website. In depth explanations of accessing the material is available through this webpage.

There are some known issues with access to content that should be readily available to UW users. In these cases, email to report the problem. Provide as much information as possible (what item is being sought, date and time of issue, wording of error messages, etc.). We will investigate to see if we can resolve the problem. If we cannot, the solution is to use our interlibrary loan service, Request It, to borrow the item.
