To access the Ancestry.com Library Edition from the main UW library page, click on the orange "Articles Databases Search" button. On the "Databases" page you can locate this database in two ways. The first is to use the "Databases by Title" box on the right side of the screen. Click on "A" and scroll down to "Ancestry Library Edition." The second method is to select the "Biography and Genealogy" listing in the "Articles by Subject" box. You will see that this database is listed as the first choice under "Librarians Pick" or alphabetically in the list.

This is a premium database that is available only to UW students, faculty, and staff, or through one of the public computers on the UW campus.  or be logged in via the library proxy to access this database. Be aware that this "Library Edition" of the Ancestry.com database is not as robust as individual paid subscriptions to this information.
