Our policies regarding donations of books were updated the spring of 2017. Here is the current information:

Gifts – The Technical Services Department of the UW Libraries handles gifts of books from individual authors, publishers, and people wishing to donate all or part of their personal collections. The primary point of contact is Janet Woods. In order to ensure that gifts are properly recognized and any unique items are identified, donors need to first contact Ms Woods before delivering books to the library. Her phone number is 307-766-6793. Any accepted in-kind donations are acquired with the understanding that materials become UW Libraries' property once received. Our full "Gifts" policy is detailed on these webpages:

Book Sale: UW Libraries have ceased the book sale program. Books gifted to the libraries in good condition that we do not keep for the our collections are sent to Better World Books for resale.

Note to Library Personnel: Individual books and boxes that make their way to the library without notice are to be routed to Janet in Technical Services. Forward any calls to 307-766-6793.
