When you set up your Request It account, you enter your UW email address. When your book or article are available, you are notified by email to pick up the book at the library or log into Request It to download the scanned article.
Recently the library has upgraded the notification options for Request It. You can now "opt in" to be sent a text message that your item is available. Other text notification options are available as well. In addition you can select what type of notifications you wish to receive by email.
To make changes to your Request It account, log onto your account. Click on the link "Change User Information" located under "Tools" on the left-hand menu. The webpage that loads will contain your current settings. Scroll down and enter the cell phone number for the text messages to be sent to. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Check the appropriate boxes to select the type of notifications you wish to receive by email and/or text. Click the green "Submit Information" button to save your choices.
