Yes. UW students, faculty, and staff can use our "Request It" service to have the library pull the books for you for pick-up at the Circulation Desk. Unfortunately, non-UW patrons do not have access to Request It. These patrons will have to pull the books themselves, or inquire at the Circulation Desk to have books pulled from the stacks. This short video tutorial describes how to use Request It to obtain books for pick-up.
Locate the book(s) that you want in the UW Library Catalog, then click on the "Request It" button (located under the location and call number information). The button looks like the following image:
Sign onto Request It using your WyoWeb username and password. The catalog information will auto-fill into the request form (Note: the first time that you use Request It you will need to complete an on-line form of contact information). Click on the green "Submit Request" button at the bottom of the webpage.
Your books will be pulled from the shelves. You will be sent an email when your books are ready for pick-up. It usually takes 24 to 36 hours for the books to be pulled or "paged" from the collection.
