The UW Libraries' main microform collection is located in Coe Library, level 1 (basement). From the front elevator or main stairway go down to level 1. The Coe Library Help Desk on Level 2 can assist in locating microfilm and microfiche, as well as help using the viewing/scanning machines.

The microfilm/fiche reader is not connected to the Internet or a printer. Patrons can save copies of microfilm/fiche to a flash drive.

The Interlibrary Loan Department(ILL) no longer sends out any scanned copies of microform/fiche for patrons due to copyright issues and limited staffing. Sometimes, ILL will make an exception and scan an article from a microfilm/fiche; if a strong case can be made - i.e., we're the only ones who carry something - then they will make an exception. They do not loan any microforms/fiche. Requests for scanned microfilm/fiche have decreased due to patron access to the online Wyoming newspaper database.

There are smaller microform collections in Chisum Special Collections Department (Coe Library, Room 309) or the Brinkerhoff Geology Library in the S.H. Knight Building.

If you have any questions, contact the Coe Library Help Desk (Level 2), (307) 766-5531, or libcirc@uwyo.edu.
