The UW Bookstore lists the textbooks required for campus and online classes. Look up your courses at https://wyoming.verbacompare.com/ You'll see pricing options for new, used, and rentals, as well as the publication information to obtain books elsewhere.
The file associated with this FAQ, Searching for Course Textbooks in UW Library Catalog, will help you to locate the ISBN information about your textbooks from the University Store, and then use that information to search the UW Library catalog for the text(s).
In addition, you may watch a video tutorial on how to obtain the ISBN and search for your textbook. Or you can follow this step-by-step tutorial.
Please be aware that the UW Libraries do not provide textbooks with the following exceptions:
- If a textbook is available in our collection, usually that is because a faculty member has requested the book be purchased. There is usually only a single copy. Students may check out the textbook but standard borrowing policies apply.
- There are some faculty who put textbooks on reserve for courses that they teach but not all professors do this. Check course reserves by clicking here. You can search by course or instructor.
