All personal belongings found in one of the UW libraries go to a temporary lost and found storage at each library's Circulation Desk. These items are held for approximately a week before being collected by the UW Police (call 307-766-5788).  You must present a photo ID to claim some lost and found items.

All library books and other material left on study tables or reshelving carts are treated as returned and reshelved in the bookstacks. If you are quick, you may find such items in the Sorting Shelves in each library (for example, in Coe on level 1 behind Reference and Current Journals). If the book is not in the Sorting Shelves go look in the bookstacks by call number or check the library catalog to see if it is available.
